January 1st

Read around of work that members would like to be considered for publication in the new Anthology.

February 5th Workshop/Talk on the Liverpool poets by Sue Lesser. These will include Brian Patten, Roger McGough, and Adrian Henri.

March 4th Dave Yallop will talk about his experiences of poetry for the first half of the evening and read a selection of his own work. The second half will be devoted to what poetry means to the rest of the members who are invited to give examples from their own or favourite poets which epitomise their choice.

April 1st

A look at the work of our new Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage, by Shirley Baker. Members are invited to bring their own or favourite poems by Armitage to read at the end of the session.

May 6th Hélène Robinson hopes to give her annual talk on this day. Subject to be confirmed
June 3rd After the AGM, Denis Ahern will give a talk on Thom Gunn.

July 1st Workshop. Leader required.
August 5th Derek Adams will talk about his new book, Exposure: 'snapshots from the life of Lee Miller, an amazing woman, model , photographer, muse , surrealist, war correspondent and gourmet cook', in the first half. For the second half he will talk about surrealist poetry and introduce the poets in Lee Miller's circle.

September 2nd Awaiting suggestions from members.

October 7th Visiting published poets again - if we still wish to do this.
